VFW Parkway is a historic parkway in Boston, Massachusetts. The parkway begins at Spring Street in West Roxbury at the Charles River and ends at Centre Street at the Arnold Arboretum. The parkway was built in 1931 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. The parkway passes through the southern corner of the town of Brookline south of Bournewood Hospital, near the intersection with the West Roxbury Parkway. It formerly carried the designation for U.S. Route 1.[2]
